SANTIAGO, ILOCOS SUR. Ilocos Sur Electric Cooperative (ISECO) will implement the 500 pesos subsidy to their lifeline member-consumer this month as confirms by the General Manager.
ISECO General Manager Ceasar Gironella said that he already received the communication from the National Electrification Administration(NEA),the agency of the government that release the fund for the one time subsidy program of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. “Probably we implement this subsidy and reflected to the billing of ISECO this month” Gironella added.
He also said that the beneficiary of this one time subsidy program were the member consumer that used 1kilowatt to 100kilowatts or what they call as lifeline users.He assured the consumer that he will announce to the different radio station when the implementation.
DZTP learned that the neighboring electric cooperatives have already implemented the said subsidy.
However, because of heavy rains experience in our country,the hydro power plant managed by National Power Corporation(NAPOCOR) is in effect again.According to Gironella this is the reason why the billing of ISECO went down this month. “If the water of this hydro power plant stable then we have a lower price of electricity this coming months not only now”the manager said.
