VIGAN CITY (September 12, 2008) – - Ilocos Sur officials led by Governor Deogracias Victor “DV” B. Savellano cited the appointment by the national government on former Governor Luis Chavit Singson as Deputy National Security Adviser.
This developed the members of the Ilocos Sur’s Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) that composed of all the mayors, the chiefs of police, the governor, the police provincial director and the non-government organizations had unanimously approved the proposed resolution congratulating the former governor during their regular monthly meeting at Cabugao Beach Resort in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur last Wednesday; while the members of the provincial board presided by Vice Governor Jeremias Singson passed and approved another resolution congratulating the former governor as news deputy national security advisers during their regular session on same day at provincial capitol.
Governor Savellano, who preside the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) meeting in Cabugao Beach Resort in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, told that the recent appointment of former Governor Singson was another milestone of his service to the Filipinos in the country.
“It is our great honor in the province for the appointment of our former Governor Singson as news Deputy National Security Adviser,” Savellano said.
Meanwhile, Narvacan town Mayor Edgar D. Zaragoza, who is the current president of the Mayor’s League of the Province, said that it is now high time for the governor to be appointed in a national position.
“I’m strongly believed that the former governor will do his best in serving the Filipinos particularly in the restoration of peace and order situation in Mindanao,” Zaragoza told. (PIA – Ilocos Sur)
